About Registration

Why Register?

Registered users have access to more functionality. Registration provides access to additional applications and resources and allows you to maintain a personal user profile, including customised filters that will speed up the retrieval of your favourite information. Registration also enables the IDP Nerve Centre Support Staff to better respond to your needs and to keep you informed of important developments.

Who can register?

Anyone can apply for registration, however the IDP Nerve Centre System was primarily developed for South African Government employees involved in the IDP process, and as such, non government users (e.g. business, academia and research institutions) will not always have access to all system applications.

How to register as a funding organisation?

Funding organisations are currently regarded as a special category of user, with permissions  to add, edit and delete their own records within e-Funding. Due to the sensitive nature of the funding database the IDPNC usually contacts funding organisations directly, however if you belong to a funding organisation and would like to add fund details to the database please contact the IDPNC Call Centre and we will facilitate access to the database, once relevant bona fides have been established.

How does validation work?

Municipalities and government departments designate their own IDPNC System Administrator who will be responsible for validating and assigning user permissions within the organisation.  Non-government users are  validated by the National IDP Nerve Centre System Administrator.

How do user permissions work?

Permissions are allocated in two ways:
